Jane has been with Community Journals since 2005, when she began as a part-time employee. After quickly being offered a full-time position, Jane declined and recommended our other Client Services Manager, Anita Harley. “I had regrets that I did not take the job,” Jane says, “So I contacted Holly [Hardin, Production Manager],” and Jane started a month later.

She has had a variety of past professional experiences: She paid her way through college by working on the Ford Motor Company manufacturing line each summer, building industrial tractors and shovel loaders, which then led to her hiring by Ford as a purchaser upon graduation. She also spent seven years with IBM in a sales support and inventory control position in Houston, Texas, and while raising her family held positions in substitute teaching, interior design and retail sales.

Jane grew up in small town Michigan, but loves the home she has made in Upstate South Carolina. “Michigan was TOO COLD–I should’ve been born in the South. I will never move any farther north than I am right now! I absolutely love Downtown Greenville. I think it is the most charming, vibrant, interesting place, and feel so blessed when I walk down Main Street on a summer’s night. It is a cool town.”

Also a lover of music, Jane says, “I have always said I couldn’t give up coffee, wine, or chocolate. In truth I think I could–but I could never live in a silent world.”
