Greenville & Upstate South Carolina
Community Journals wants to do more for our community. You can help.
A fund for the local reporting that too often goes uncovered.
The Community News Fund for Greenville/Upstate SC – more commonly known as the Community News Fund, or CNF – has been established through the nonprofit Community Foundation of Greenville. It exists to provide funding for additional coverage of local topics and initiatives that are undercovered, overlooked or neglected, or that are of paramount community importance.
In short, to provide more news and information of benefit to the residents of Greenville County and the Upstate, above and beyond the coverage we already provide as a for-profit news organization.
The fund is overseen by an independent advisory committee, which verifies that our expenses match the mission and mandate. You can read the founding document here.
